Le Tour One Day Ahead is just one day away.
We are on our way to the Netherlands to begin our trip from Utrecht Stage 1 Tour de France 2015 tomorrow.
The team busses, as you can see, make everything seem very real. The weather has been threatening to turn blisteringly hot over this weekend but currently the cloud cover and a little rain is a welcome change to the last few days.

Holland may be very flat but the chance of a head wind as we near the coast is quite real and while it may be a pleasant hanged to the heat of the day it will be hard work cycling into the wind. Good job I’m used to head winds having grown up in the north west of Ireland where there can be some nice strong winds to cycle into around the Inisowen peninsula. If only the Foyle Cycling Club had been around when I was a youth in the 70s !

There’s an excitement in the team right now. Many media outlets are keen to do interviews as the real Tour de France is hotting up in the media.
A very big thank you to the media teams that have so far given coverage to my story and the help this has given to my fundraising efforts.

Shaun Doherty and team at Highland Radio, Donegal : a great interview and I know our broadcast has been encouraging discussion about leukaemia and how many people it affects all over the country.
Simon Collins at The Derry Journal, what a great story you have written, thank you !
Tom Cantoni at a Eagle Radio 96.4 covering Surrey and Hampshire, many thanks for the swift and very detailed interview about the ride, the infamous guest-riders and the charity. It’s all about raising money for cancer treatment, saving lives and finding that cure for all blood cancers.

Many more have helped publicise this ride and I will write more in coming days.

To everyone who follows his blog – thank you – please forward the blog and my donation link to everyone you know so we can really hit the target.
